New clinical system provider Medicus now MIG accredited
New clinical system provider Medicus have achieved MIG accreditation to provide patient data via the Medical Interoperability Gateway (MIG).
Medicus is a next-generation clinical system, designed and developed with the help of NHS clinicians to join up care services and facilitate new and improved ways of working.
MIG accreditation will allow Medicus to provide patient data for Healthcare Gateway’s Detailed Care Record (DCR) which gives clinicians access to real-time data from patients’ GP records. This integration with the MIG supports Medicus’ aim of creating a system that enables collaboration and is interoperable by design.
Benefits of the Detailed Care Record echo Medicus’ vision of interoperability and coordination of care:

- Bi-directional sharing of data ensures patient care is better coordinated, leading to improved patient satisfaction and clinical safety
