Healthcare Gateway receive prestigious Holyrood Digital Health and Care Award

A project Healthcare Gateway completed with NHS Dumfries and Galloway to roll out the Medical Interoperability Gateway (MIG) enabling real-time patient data has won the prestigious Holyrood Digital Health and Care Awards 2023 for Industry Collaboration.

NHS Dumfries and Galloway completed a pilot project with Healthcare Gateway, becoming the first in Scotland to roll out the MIG, connecting 31 GP practices across the region providing clinicians with real-time access to patient data, supporting faster and safer care.

The Industry Collaboration Award highlights partnerships between innovative private sector vendors and the public sector, and the crucial role they play in achieving wide scale transformation of health and social care services. The award recognises a supplier that has demonstrated effective collaboration with a public or third sector client to deliver a successful digital transformation project.

“We are so thrilled to win this Digital Health and Care Award in partnership with Healthcare Gateway and Cambric. The benefits for time saving efficiency and patient safety by having GP patient level data available across Acute and Community clinical workforce in real time is fantastic.”

“We’re delighted to be recognised at the Digital Health and Care Awards for industry collaboration. NHS Dumfries and Galloway have led the way to provide access to real-time patient data in Scotland and we’re proud to be the interoperability solution to help them achieve this, so healthcare professionals can deliver more informed, joined-up care and enhance the patient journey for residents across the region.”

Healthcare Gateway is now also providing comprehensive MIG data in Cambrics Morse EPR solution, which provides secure mobile records to healthcare professionals who are working in the community or away from their normal place of work.
