Social care provider integrates with the MIG

Liquidlogic is the first supplier of its type to receive accreditation for the Medical Interoperability Gateway (MIG).

Social care case management systems provider Liquidlogic has been accredited to enable local authorities to consume MIG GP data through their Liquidlogic Adult Social Care System (LAS).

Having access to data available through the MIG will allow health and social care professionals to automatically identify all available information about a patient. This data will help social care practitioners in their planning of support and care which they provide to the elderly and to vulnerable adults by taking into account relevant and available health data.

“It’s fantastic that Liquidlogic can now provide customers with real time GP data. The MIG can be integrated with any healthcare application and by partnering with a wide range of suppliers, we can provide strong connectivity between different care settings. We’re looking forward to working with Liquidlogic on new projects in the future.” Peter Anderson Managing Director, Healthcare Gateway.

Speaking about the accreditation, David Grigsby, Managing Director of Liquidlogic said, “Liquidlogic is fully committed to the integration of health and social care and we are pleased to be adding MIG access to our integration options.  We are seeing increasing levels of collaboration between health and social care providers and this is another example of our commitment in supporting Local Authorities in this area.”

Rochdale and Cumbria will be the first areas to access to the MIG. More information about this project will be available in due course.
